Cairo-based entrepreneurship platform RiseUp, alongside venture capital firm A15 and technology partner BitRoot, has launched NVIDIA SIGNALS in Egypt to connect local AI builders with global resources, compute power, and investment networks.
Unveiled at an inaugural gathering held at the Grand Egyptian Museum on 14 July 2026, the sterategic initiative brings NVIDIA‘s technical ecosystem directly to Egyptian tech entrepreneurs.
“Egypt’s AI ecosystem is growing rapidly. Through NVIDIA SIGNALS, we’re helping founders access the knowledge, partnerships, and opportunities they need to compete globally,” stated Abdelhameed Sharara, Founder and CEO of RiseUp.
The programme brings together regional partners A15 and BitRoot with RiseUp to host regular events and workshops, while also connecting to NVIDIA’s global network.
It offers Egyptian startup teams GPU credits, technical training, market support, and connections to international investors.
Led by Basil Fateen from NVIDIA, the launch event highlighted trends in the industry, strategies for scaling using NVIDIA technology, and key factors that investors consider when evaluating early-stage AI startups.
“We’re seeing strong momentum from AI founders across the Middle East and Africa, and Egypt is home to a growing startup community applying AI to meaningful challenges,” said Basil Fateen, head of Startups and VC, Middle East and Africa at NVIDIA. “By bringing NVIDIA SIGNALS to Egypt, we’re helping founders access the technology, expertise and global NVIDIA Inception ecosystem they need to accelerate development and turn ambitious ideas into real-world impact.”
The launch event included a panel discussion led by Fateen, featuring notable Egyptian tech leaders who shared their experiences on developing technology platforms.
The panellists were Omar Mansour (CTO of Intella), Omar Abdelwahed (co-founder and CEO of Valify Solutions), Moustafa Menessy (co-founder and CTO of Paymob), and Farah Osman (CEO and COO of Bluworks).
They talked about the challenges of deploying models, optimising hardware, and creating the necessary infrastructure for advanced AI products in North Africa and the Middle East.
Following the panel, NVIDIA representatives hosted an open Q and A session outlining the concrete resources accessible through the NVIDIA Inception programme.
Early-stage companies accepted into the network gain direct access to technical mentors, deep learning institute courses, and compute credits designed to reduce the capital intensity of training proprietary models.

The session marked the start of recurring events and activities in Egypt, giving RiseUp, A15, and BitRoot a platform to position this local chapter as a standing bridge between Egyptian talent and NVIDIA’s global startup network.
Future sessions will bring in more NVIDIA partners, spotlight companies already shipping with NVIDIA’s tools, and grow the community to reach more founders and builders across the region.
