Abwaab, an EdTech platform operating across six Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets, has acquired Egyptian teacher-focused SaaS and blended-learning platform Eduact.
The acquisition strengthens Abwaab’s strategy of connecting offline and online education while expanding access to technology for teachers, learning centers and students across the region.

Led by Adham Hamed, Eduact provides independent teachers and small learning centers with tools to manage video content, grading, payments and offline-to-online learning workflows.
Through the acquisition, Abwaab plans to expand these capabilities and help teachers adopt digital tools without requiring extensive technical expertise.
The deal comes ahead of the new school year and is aimed at extending Abwaab’s education infrastructure beyond its existing digital platform.
By combining Eduact’s relationships with teachers and learning centers in Egypt with Abwaab’s technology and regional reach, the companies plan to make structured learning tools more accessible to educators and students in both major cities and underserved communities.
Led by Hamdi Tabbaa, Abwaab aims to expand access to education through teacher-led learning, AI-powered assessment tools and university admissions support, serving millions of students, teachers and educational institutions across the region.
“Eduact has spent years earning the trust of teachers and learning centers across Egypt, building tools that genuinely make their lives easier. Rather than compete with that, we wanted to build on it,” said Hamdi Tabbaa, Co-Founder and CEO of Abwaab.
Earlier this year, Abwaab acquired Apex Education, a startup focused on elite college admissions. The acquisition allows Abwaab to deliver its recently launched tutoring and test prep product for international curricula through Apex, containing both academic tutoring and expert global admissions guidance for students.
