AfricInvest Small Cap Fund (ASCF) announced that it has made an undisclosed minority equity investment in Mauritius-based Spoon Consulting to accelerate the company’s expansion of AI-driven cloud consulting and digital transformation services across Africa and Europe.
Spoon Consulting focuses on AI-first digital transformation, helping enterprises integrate artificial intelligence into their existing technology platforms.
The company’s services include AI agentic solutions and AI integration across major enterprise ecosystems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft and Infor. It serves clients across sectors including financial services, energy, industrial businesses and hospitality.
Spoon’s growth strategy centres on three priorities: expanding its AI capabilities, entering additional African markets and strengthening corporate governance.
The investment will support Spoon Consulting’s development and deployment of proprietary AI technologies, expansion into new African markets and broader EMEA growth. The company also plans to pursue targeted acquisitions as part of its strategy to strengthen its capabilities and scale its operations.
Spoon Consulting will use the new capital to accelerate its AI roadmap and expand its enterprise client base across Africa and Europe.
The company already operates delivery hubs in Mauritius and Madagascar and has established a new subsidiary in Kenya, positioning it to pursue opportunities in Africa’s rapidly expanding cloud and digital services market.
The investment is also expected to contribute to the development of Africa’s technology talent pool by creating skilled jobs across Spoon’s delivery centres.
