Kredete, a financial technology platform for emerging-market and diaspora communities, has acquired Gravv, an agentic stablecoin infrastructure platform that connects banks, blockchain networks, and local payment rails for real-time global money movement.
Kredete has brought its money-movement system in-house, allowing it to have better control over stablecoin transactions, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, liquidity, routing, and reconciliation for global payments.
The company now aims to provide this infrastructure to banks, fintechs, platforms, and developers focusing on emerging markets.
Since the acquisition, Kredete has opened Gravv to new businesses and developers beyond its existing customer base, inviting any bank, fintech, platform, or builder in emerging markets to build on it.
Founder and CEO Of Kredete, Adeola Adedewe said, “Infrastructure is the moat, and intelligence is the operating layer. Gravv gives Kredete the stablecoin infrastructure and global rails beneath our consumer and enterprise products, while its agentic capabilities help operate those rails in real time. Together, we are building the autonomous middleware for global money movement.”
Gravv is a platform that enables easy and fast global money transfers using stablecoins. It provides banks, fintech companies, and businesses with a single integration for managing multiple currencies, payments, foreign exchange, liquidity, card issuance, and settling transactions.
Gravv has handled over $3 billion in transaction volume for more than 1,000 businesses in over 100 countries, working with seven global banking partners. Gravv is part of Kredete.
Hakeem Oriola, Chief Technology Officer at Kredete, added, “Global payments are not one rail; they are a coordination problem across banks, blockchains, liquidity, compliance, and local payout systems. Gravv brings those rails into one infrastructure layer, and its agentic capabilities help Kredete route, settle, and reconcile payments in real time.”
Founded in 2022 by Adeola Adedewe, Kredete provides modern financial tools to individuals and businesses in emerging markets. The platform allows users to send, convert, hold, and settle money globally in real time, with transactions benefiting the sender’s credit score.
Kredete operates in over 60 countries, has raised $24.75 million in funding, serves more than 6.5 million users, and has processed over $18 billion in payments annually.
Last year, the company raised $22 million Series A funding round led by AfricInvest via their Cathay AfricInvest Innovation Fund (CAIF) and Financial Inclusion Vehicle (FIVE), alongside Partech, and with participation from Polymorphic Capital.
Ebuka Arinze, Chief Product Officer at Kredete, said, “We believe the next trillion dollars in commerce will be initiated and processed by AI agents. Having already powered millions of transactions for individuals and businesses, we are now building the financial infrastructure agents will need to participate in the global economy.”
The announcement comes around five months after expanding its stablecoin-backed credit card from 50 African countries into the Gulf, with new markets in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
