Paris- and Nairobi-based investor Saviu Ventures has invested in Senegalese industrial company SORAM Afrique as part of a $1.36 million funding round, alongside the company’s management team.
The deal was announced through Saviu’s second-generation fund, Saviu II, and is the firm’s first investment in Climate Tech.
Saviu said in a statement, “We are proud to announce our first investment in Climate Tech, SORAM Afrique, alongside the management team, as part of a $1.36 million funding round supporting the company’s next phase of growth.“
Founded in Dakar and led by founder Florian Baudoin, SORAM Afrique has spent more than 10 years supporting SMEs, large companies, government agencies and educational institutions across Senegal and West Africa with printing infrastructure adapted to local realities.
Instead of reselling new machines, the company reconditions and redeploys professional printing equipment, giving a second life to machines that would otherwise be discarded.
This industrial model combines technical expertise with a circular economy approach that extends equipment lifespan, cuts consumable waste and reduces unnecessary consumption. Its multi-brand expertise spans Konica Minolta, Kyocera and Canon.
The company follows a five-step client method: audit, recommendation, installation, training and optimisation. It has served more than 1,000 customers and deployed around 4,000 pieces of equipment across three countries.
SORAM Afrique now operates as part of a broader group, OLU 360, which brings together three complementary businesses under one holding: SORAM Afrique, IRIS Afrique and SIS.
The group counts 60 employees, generates FCFA 1.3 billion in revenue, and manages more than 2,000 machines across its activities.
Saviu added, “For Saviu, this investment reflects our conviction that Africa’s next generation of category leaders will not only be built in software. Strong local businesses, operational expertise and scalable industrial models can also create significant value across the continent. We are excited to partner with the team as OLU 360 enters its next chapter.“
The new capital will support OLU 360’s next phase of growth. Operations already extend beyond Senegal into Gambia and Guinea, with further ambitions across West Africa, including Côte d’Ivoire.
