Bank NXT, an Egyptian retail and corporate bank, has extended its collaboration with Network International, a fintech company serving the Middle East and Africa.

As part of the collaboration, Bank NXT will move its ATM and debit card portfolio to Network’s end-to-end processing platform. The bank says this will make its operations smoother, strengthen security controls and improve the customer experience.

The bank says the move supports its expansion plans by building trust among existing and new customers. The announcement comes as Egypt’s banking sector goes through a fast digital shift, driven by the Central Bank of Egypt.

“Migrating our debit card and ATM portfolio to Network’s robust processing platform will enable us to achieve greater operational efficiency, introduce innovative services faster, and ultimately, provide a seamless, secure, and digitally advanced banking experience,” said Tamer Seif El-Din, CEO and Managing Director of Bank NXT.

Bank NXT, formerly known as aiBANK, was established in 1974 as an investment and business bank. It started work under the supervision of the Central Bank of Egypt in 1978.

The bank offers retail products for individuals and corporate services for businesses, including loan syndication for large national projects. It also supports small and medium-sized enterprises and provides investment and treasury services. It serves customers through 37 branches across Egypt and is expanding its branch and ATM networks.

Bank NXT is part of EFG Holding, which owns 51% of the bank. The Egypt Financial Services and Digital Transformation Sub-Fund holds 25% and the National Investment Bank holds 24%. In August 2025, the board approved a cash increase of EGP 4.2 billion, bringing the bank’s issued and paid-in capital to EGP 9.9 billion.

“By providing our expertise and end-to-end processing capabilities, we are enabling Bank NXT to scale their services effectively, while contributing to Egypt’s strategic financial goals,”said Dr. Reda Helal, Group Managing Director, Processing, Africa and Growth Markets at Network International.
