Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo plans to invest another $40 million over the next 12 to 18 months. This will complete its $110 million investment plan, of which it has already spent $70 million. The hub says the money will help it build its technology skills and grow the services it sells to global markets.
Ahmed Salem, the Chief Operating Officer, stated that the hub is part of Deloitte’s EMEA network (which became effective from June 1, 2026) and provides specialised technology services to 30 countries.
The hub assists with digital transformation projects for clients in various industries, including food and beverage, technology, and automotive, while also collaborating with other Deloitte innovation hubs globally.
Salem said developing Egyptian talent and building specialised technology skills are central to the hub’s strategy. He said continued investment in local talent and in the Cairo teams helps the hub meet the needs of international projects and grow its technology service exports.
He also added that the hub is strengthening its role in Deloitte’s global network, which supports Egypt’s position as a base for delivering specialised technology services to regional and international markets.
The Cairo hub is part of Deloitte’s EMEA network. It offers services in artificial intelligence and data, cloud computing and DevOps, and cybersecurity and digital trust. These help clients build digital solutions, work more efficiently and protect their business systems. The hub also runs the Google Cloud AI Experience Center in Cairo.
The centre uses tools such as Gemini and Vertex AI to test and build AI applications that address client needs and support global projects.
The Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo was officially launched in October 2024, to innovate and develop talent in Egypt. Initially starting with 23 employees, the Hub has grown to over 600 within just two years.
The Hub focuses on providing solutions to complex business challenges by collaborating with teams from Deloitte North and South Europe. The work culture at the Deloitte Innovation Hub prioritises support and empowerment, aiming to make a positive impact in Egypt.
The office design encourages inclusivity and sustainability, featuring amenities like braille signage and a policy against single-use plastics. Additionally, the Hub engages in community service through volunteering efforts for hospitals, NGOs, and tree-planting initiatives.
