Sahl, an Egyptian digital payments and bill payment platform, announced a strategic partnership with Cairo-based Klivvr, a fintech company. Through this partnership, Klivvr customers can now pay their instalments directly through the Sahl mobile application.

The integration gives customers an additional digital payment option for managing recurring financial commitments.

The announcement comes at a time when Egypt is working to promote digital payments to improve financial inclusion. As part of this effort, fintech platforms are increasingly collaborating to help reduce cash transactions.

Last month, Sahl signed a cooperation protocol with Egypt’s Ministry of Justice to enable the ministry’s electronic payment and collection services through the platform’s payment channels. This allows citizens and litigants to pay fees and dues related to judicial services digitally.

Launched in December 2019, Sahl is a FinTech application for utility bill payments and recharges. Currently, the platform offers more than 200 payment services through a single mobile app, covering electricity, natural gas, water, telecommunications, and internet services.

The platform also supports Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for recharging prepaid utility meters and smart cards, and has expanded into business-to-business digital payment acceptance and collection solutions.

Klivvr was founded in Egypt in 2021 and received Central Bank of Egypt approval in 2023. The company offers payments and lending products through its smart payment card and mobile app, and has grown its user base to more than 700k customers.

In 2025, it launched a Buy Now, Pay Later product with financing of up to EGP 500,000 ($10,000) over 60 months, alongside one-time financing of up to EGP 15 million ($300,000) through a network of more than 1,000 merchants.

In 2026, Klivvr introduced K.ai, which it describes as Egypt’s first AI-powered financial assistant for spending insights and budgeting guidance, along with K.Points, a rewards programme, and K.Shop, an in-app marketplace.
