Khwarizmi Ventures, the Saudi-based venture capital firm, has completed a partial exit from Bosta, the Egyptian tech-logistics company, realising approximately a 3x net multiple on its total position.

“We invested in Bosta three times, starting with its Series A round and later leading one of the follow-on rounds,” says Khwarizmi Ventures in a LinkedIn post.

The exit is the Saudi VC’s sixth, following earlier exits from Tamara, POSRocket, Fatura, Melltoo, and Qawafel. Khwarizmi has also distributed capital twice to its Fund I investors in less than five years since the fund’s launch.

Established in 2017 by Mohmmed Ezzat and Ahmed Gaber, Bosta is a tech-focused logistics company providing next-day delivery, exchange and return, cash collection, and fast transfer services to e-commerce businesses across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The company lets merchants manage their logistics through a single dashboard, handling door-to-door delivery and connecting businesses with customers through services designed for the cash-on-delivery-heavy e-commerce markets in the region.

“Bosta was founded to solve one of the biggest challenges facing e-commerce in our region:  reliable, scalable last-mile delivery. Over the years, we’ve evolved into a platform that  supports thousands of businesses and enables commerce across multiple markets. This  outcome reflects how far Bosta has come and the strength of the team behind it. We’re excited  to build on this foundation and continue expanding Bosta’s impact across the region,” says Mohamed Ezzat, Founder & CEO at Bosta

Khwarizmi Ventures invested in Bosta three times, starting with the Series A round and later leading one of the follow-on rounds.

“We’re incredibly proud of Bosta team and grateful to be part of their journey. This  achievement reflects the founders’ vision, relentless execution, and the strength of  innovation emerging from the MENA startup ecosystem. We look forward to the  company’s next chapter of growth,” says Abdulaziz AlTurki, Managing Partner at Khwarizmi Ventures

Founded in 2018, Khwarizmi is an early-stage VC fund investing in startups across the MENA region. The Firm was named after Muḥammad Al-Khwārizmī, a 9th-century Muslim polymath who produced works in mathematics, astronomy, and geography.

The firm has seed-funded and scaled multiple regional companies, with six successful exits now on its record.

The partial exit means Khwarizmi retains a stake in Bosta and remains part of the company’s cap table. However, the buyer, transaction value, stake sold and Khwarizmi Ventures’ remaining stake in Bosta were not disclosed.
