Editor’s note: African-Startups is a sister publication of EU-Startups, bringing trusted coverage of startups, venture capital, and innovation across Africa.
AfriLabs, a pan-African network of innovation hubs, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Algerian Ecosystem Network (EYCONET) to expand its investment deal room across North Africa.
The partnership centres on the AfriLabs Connect Deal Room (ACDR), a platform designed to facilitate structured deal sourcing and investment readiness.
Through the agreement, EYCONET will act as a local anchor in Algeria to identify, verify, and qualify high-growth startups before they are added to the ACDR pipeline.
This partnership will increase these startups’ visibility and access to investment opportunities across Africa and beyond.
Additionally, it will enhance collaboration with organisations that assist startup growth in the region.
With help from the Algerian Ministry of Knowledge Economy, selected startups may also get access to important events like the African Startup Conference (ASC).
This collaboration is strengthened by EYCONET’s work with the Algerian Startup Fund, showing strong support for the growth of Algerian startups and their ecosystem.
By combining EYCONET’s local ecosystem intelligence with AfriLabs’ continental digital infrastructure, the organisations aim to standardise the quality of startup deal flow across the region.
The partnership aims to help North African startups get funding, explore new markets, and connect with businesses and government organisations, without the usual promotional aspects of early-stage networking.
EYCONET is an Algeria-based ecosystem network focused on advancing entrepreneurship, startup development, and innovation across the country.
