A.P. Moller Capital has agreed to buy a majority stake in Globex Investissement, one of Morocco’s leading logistics companies, marking the Danish infrastructure investor’s latest bet on the North African transport sector.

The deal is funded by A.P. Moller Capital’s Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II and its APM Capital Morocco Fund, which together will acquire the controlling stake in Globex. As part of the transaction, the funds will partner with Globex’s founder and CEO, Omar El Kadiri, who will stay on to lead the company alongside its existing management team, ensuring continuity as the business enters its next growth phase. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including merger control approval from the Moroccan Competition Council.

We are excited to partner with Omar El Kadiri through our investment which directly aligns with our core sector and geographic focus. Globex is an established market leader in transportation and logistics, a sector in which we have deep domain expertise and a strong regional presence, and Morocco is rapidly developing into the leading North African logistics hub, supported by strong macroeconomic tailwinds,” said Kim Fejfer, CEO of A.P. Moller Capital.

Founded in 1998, Globex Investissement is a private company that has established itself as the leader in Morocco’s transportation and logistics industry in its nearly three decades of existence. The firm has built its success on exclusive local market licensing agreements and strong positions in express delivery, road freight, freight forwarding and customs brokerage. According to PitchBook, Globex Investissement counts Amethis as its investor and bought out Logic Transport in October 2024.

This acquisition brings together an investor sharing direct synergy with an operator in the transportation sector. A.P. Moller Capital says its sector heritage and experience in transportation and logistics, combined with its deep knowledge of the North African market, position it as a natural partner to support Globex through its next stage of growth and to reinforce its market leadership.

That heritage can be traced back to the firm’s roots. Established in 2017 and operating as part of the A.P. Moller Group, the firm is a value-add infrastructure fund manager with roughly $2 billion in assets under management. The acquisition also builds on a broader push by A.P. Moller into Morocco and brings focus on the APM Capital Morocco Fund, which was launched in February 2026.

Launched as part of an initiative led by the Mohammed VI Investment Fund to catalyse investment and support job creation, the APM Capital Morocco Fund has secured close to $178 million in commitments from Moroccan and international institutional investors, complemented by a further $65 million from the Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II. It brings together roughly $243 million in total capital available for deployment in the country’s transport and logistics sector to roughly $243 million.

Ghislane Guedira, CEO of APM Capital Morocco S.A, said, “We’re delighted to announce our investment in Globex. With the combination of A.P. Moller Capital’s sector heritage and Globex’s strong management team, we look forward to supporting the company as it continues to strengthen its market position and contribute to the development of Morocco’s transport and logistics sector, while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability.”

By tapping A.P. Moller Capital’s experience and track record in sustainable investment, Globex is aiming to become a green logistics leader in Morocco, with plans that include solar-powered hubs, an electric fleet rollout and CO2 reporting tools backed by robust ESG governance as part of a Net Zero roadmap.
